Do-It-Yourself Helmet Holder
Thanks to DRM4983, here is a very simple and inexpensive (pocket change) way to secure your helmet to your bike:
================================

Alternative helmet holders:

Someone suggested simply using any cable type gun lock if you have one available.

Simply loop the cable through the D-ring adjusters and lock to any solid point, such as saddlebag guards,

engine guards, luggage rack, sissy bar, etc.

Home Made Helmet Holders:
I built my own helmet holders and mounted them on the tourer bags so they can be locked on.
I just took some flat clips and bent them into a U shape, leaving one side 1/2" longer.

I drilled two holes into the longer side and pop riveted them to the bags on each side.

Now the cover hides them when closed and you can lock the covers and secure two helmets, one on each side.
(These will only keep out the honest people).
Cost about $.25 cents.
Here are some pictures to show how simple this mod is.
Regards,
